This Privacy Policy explains how Candipath ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our recruiting platform, as either an employer or a candidate.
2. Information we collect
For candidates, this includes profile information you provide or upload (such as a resume), skills, experience, education, and optionally a linked GitHub account. For employers, this includes company information, team member accounts, and search activity. We also collect standard technical information such as device and usage data.
3. Candidate identity masking
Candidate identity — name, contact details, and current employer — is hidden from employers by default. It is only revealed to a specific employer once the candidate accepts that employer's access request. Browsing masked search results does not share your identity with anyone.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate the search and matching features of the platform, to facilitate access requests, interviews, questionnaires, and messaging, to process payments, and to improve our AI matching and verification systems.
5. AI processing
Resume parsing, candidate search ranking, and GitHub activity analysis are performed using AI models. These systems are used to assist — not replace — human decisions, and only process data you've provided or explicitly linked to your profile.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell candidate data. Candidate identity is shared only with employers a candidate has explicitly granted access to. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processing and hosting), under confidentiality obligations.
7. Data retention
We retain account and profile information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent for optional features such as GitHub verification, at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@candipath.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email.
